Dadhikot village
Dadhikot is very beautiful village with various natural resources, mountain,rivers and sunshine view. The major tourist attraction destinations are brinda basini temple,charkhandi mandir,matareshwor, anantalingeshwor temple and hill ,gothabari hill, dachin barahi temple, Neupane gau temple and many more. The people living in this area follow Hinduism. Brahmin,chhetri,newar etc reside in this village.
We can see the green feild and forest everywhere. The grenary of this region attract a lot of tourist every year. We can see the extraordinary view of sunrise and sun sets from this village. Major of the people speaks Nepali. Newari is also spoken in this village.
People living in this area are involved in agriculture and business. About 60% of people are involved in agriculture and 30% people are involved in business. Others is another sector. People living in this area are kind and generous. About 90% of people are literate. Cash crops are also grown in this region. Medicinal herbs are found in this region.
This village consists of different kind of tree such as salla , chilaune,utish,kafal,garaus,payi,katush etc.
Patle community forest ,biruwa community forest,anantalingeshwor community forest. The air in this region are less polluted . The environment are favorable for living.
The climate is moderate type neither too cold and neither too hot. The monsoon start from the beginning of asar and last until shrawan.
The main caste of people living in this region are Neupane,Ghimere,chaulagain,Gautam,thapa,thapa magar,shrestha,dhakal,manandhar,khadka,adhikari,rai,tamang,raut etc.
Prople respect each other culture and tradition. People living in this area are very friendly. Caste based discrimination,gender based discrimination are rear in this village. People love each other.
We can travel this village by two bus route biruwa balkot koteshwor route and tarkhal thimi route. It is located south east in kathmandu valley. It is just 9 km from kathmandu the capital city of Nepal.
Dadhikot previously was a village development committee in central development region in Nepal. But several VDC are merged to become suryabinayak municipality like dadhikot,sirutar balkot etc.
The main problem of this region are as follows:
1) The transportation system is not reliable in this region. People have to wait hours to get bus. Very few bus are about 5 are conducted in tarkhal thimi route. Drivers donot conducted their bus in time.
2) There is lack of pure drinking water in this region
3) People are building homes in their feild which feds them. Every year about 30 new house are built in this region which affect the environment.
4) People are selling their land just to relax in life which creates another problem of high inflation in this region. Every day the cost of land is increasing.
5) Due to the Population growth the problem of pollution affects this region.
6) There is lack of political leader who wants to develop this region. Corruption is also another problem. The political leaders of this region talk only but at the time of work they take bribe and run away from their responsibility.
7) The rate of pace of development is very slow. It takes about 10 years to blacktop the road from thimi to tarkhal.
8) There is no big industry located in this region so unemployment is another problem.
The possible measures to slove this problem are as follows:
1) The transportation system should effective . The committee of transportation should work hard and in an effective way to slove this problem
2) people shouldn't build the house in feild.
3) Strict rules and regulations about polluting the environment should be made
4) water problem should be solve by booring
5) Political leaders should work in an effective way.
6) Tarkhal thimi road should be expand for the development of this region.
7) All the people should equally participate to develop this region.
